I found out not that long ago that the NaNoWriMo Challenge, which involves writing 50 000 words in a month, has a version called Camp NaNoWriMo which takes place in the months of June and August.
Now, I think it's a bit late to do the June one, since it's halfway through the month, but August may be a bit more achievable, especially since there is one extra day in August compared to June. The only problem is, that I am currently doing my final year of high school so with all the work that comes with that, adding more on top of that workload may be just short of crazy.
At the moment I like the idea of it more than anything else, but August is also a really busy month in terms of co-curricular music stuff, as well as the usual school things. The reality of it may just be a really stressed, kinda disheartened me.
But oh well. I have another month and a bit to decide. Maybe I will end up being crazy enough... and maybe not.
Yesterday I found the most wonderfully awesome channel on youtube. It's called ThePianoGuys and has really cool covers of various songs.
I loved in particular the piano solo of Pirates of the Caribbean and Harry Potter themes, and found out that there's sheet music available. So now, I really, really, really, really, really, really, really want to buy it so I can have a go at playing it.
There's only one problem: It is exam week and I really should be studying.
It's really bad timing because I'm obsessing so much by watching the videos and trying to play the trial versions of the sheet music and would be doing it so much more if I didn't feel the need to study for exams so much.
I am actually obsessing so much that there is quite a bit of temptation to just ditch exam revision and obsess 24/7. Which would be a very, very bad idea. Not to mention that I care quite a lot about how I do at school so for something to overtake that is really quite unusual a few days before exams.
I think I'll save the obsessing for after exams, but until then I'll just have somehow suppress it. :(
